Scout is a 26 foot Sacs RIB designed for speed and comfort, with shaded seating and unobstructed views. Equipped with a 300hp Mercury Verado outboard, this boat can reach a velocity of 40 mph. Approved by the US Coast Guard for up to six passengers, we provide safety, comfort, and stability on any trip you choose to take.
This is the Skyboat, our flagship boat and our primary tool for conducting marine research in the Pacific. At 32 feet long, this Ocean Craft Marine 320 Chesapeake vessel is equipped with twin 400hp racing outboard engines, as well a 40hp engine that powers a set of four wheels for driving on land. It can reach a speed of 7mph on land, and comfortably power through the waves at speeds over 40 mph. With its deep v-hull complete with reverse chines and a streamlined design, the Skyboat is stable, fast, and efficient.
We have dedicated this vessel to the advancement of marine sciences and to provide a powerful platform for educational outreach. It is equipped with state of the art depth sounders, FLIR and night-vision cameras, and a host of other electronics suitable for uncovering the ocean’s mysteries. Ample storage and deck space is available, allowing for the unimpeded deployment of scientific instruments. Our goal is to provide both students and scientists with an immensely capable and versatile platform to discover valuable insights into our oceans.
